So I saw all of these pictures and I have a question. Was this on purpose?

The second Hercules was only about 12 seconds behind and rolling down the runway but from my angle I could not get both of them in so I concentrated on clicking this one.

500 knots @ 500 feet.....that is when the 400 pilots really show the manuverability of a beast this size!!

Hey, Viv. How ya doin'?? Looooong time no hear. All is well by you, I hope. Great to see you back here. This Star Wars livery is being erased?? Then I guess I was VERY lucky to have seen it (and clicked it) a few months ago. Thanx for the info and Welcome Back. (Thumbs Up)
I love this pic, and not just because of all the aircraft in it. Check out the cars. This photo is full of history - both aviation history and automotive history. I am extremely grateful to Larry for salvaging all the photos he found, and to honor his memory and his foresight, I am sharing the pictures he sent to me several years ago. To the best of my knowledge, this picture and the three others I have already posted into the FA gallery cannot be viewed anywhere else on the web. (gcs)

Thank you Paul. These military registrations are always tricky for me. Appreciate the nice note.

Thanks
With the sole exception of the fact that it (KBUF) is still at the same location (the intersection of Genessee and Cayuga Sts) that it was when I was a teen, KBUF today bears absolutely no resemblance to the BUF I hung out at in the 1960s. I truly enjoyed my visit back to Buffalo and I REALLY enjoyed being able to go airside at the now ultra-modern KBUF. I deeply appreciate my escorted photo opportunity (which is something else that is 100% different from when I was a teen; back in the 1960s, I was able to go out on the terminal ramps and also right next to the taxiways without any escort). Ahh, the good old days .... lol

Once, Amarillo had a SAC base. I drove from Denver to Amarillo and was surprised one early morning at dawn when I came up over a hill and was 500 yards from a BUFF flying at low level (probably a half mile above the deck) coming towards me. US 385 was exciting for about 10 seconds.

It is a 10 star photo but alas, a scale from 1 to 5 just shows the sites many years of history, unmarred by progress, at least when it comes to the scale.

Gotta be Evelyn Wood to read this livery.

The underside of the wings are not black. They are the same color as the lower fuselage. Flag Blue....Akzo Nobel G20024.

When I was a teenager I attended the rollout of the C5A. President Johnson came in in 26000. I was in awe. But the thing that stood out was as the jet rolled to a stop an airmen was under the fuselage wiping it down.

We were on a nine-mile hike through the mountains east of KNFL when we (sort of) blundered into the middle of the exercise. US Navy personnel had gone right by us earlier and we had suspected there might be some type of training exercise they were heading out to prepare, but we lost sight of them in the mountains. We did not realize that we were encroaching into the midst of the exercise until this SAR helicopter came up to us. We reversed our route and cleared out. Because we had to backtrack a bit, our nine-mile hike ended up being ten and a half miles. lol

LTJG Armstrong had time in over 200 aircraft. I think he could recognize a T-38 regardless of its modifications.
